Researchers

After finishing The Historian (finally...!), I got down to thinking a bit. So over dinner yesterday, I told Noodle:

There are generally two kinds of researchers - scientists are those who try to take a glimpse at the future, while historians are those who look into the past. Both share the same aim, that is to uncover some truths.

Noodle thought about what I said, and then added:

And artists and philosophers are those who preserve the present, especially when the society is under attack.

On another note, everybody's over taken me on the book read count... I'm particularly proud of my Baby here for gobbling down books.... my little monster... now stay away from the book stores ya? :)
