World Ebook Fair 2006

July 4th to August 4, 2006 marks a month long celebration of the 35th anniversary of the first step taken towards today's eBooks, when the United States Declaration of Independence was the first file placed online for downloading in what was destined to be an electronic library of the Internet.

There would be free Access to the public from July 4th to August 4th, in celebration of Project Gutenberg's 35th Birthday.

So.. bookworms out there, what are you waiting for??

Great. Downloaded a few already. However, eBooks are pretty hard to read and you can't just curl up with your PC. Maybe I can utilise my lab's printer. >:)

I'm reading 1001 Nights online nowadays. Quite interesting to see the Arabs' obsession with black slaves and their queens/wives.

Save the trees! That's why God instructed humans to create pdf!

I also read up a bit on 1001 nights while I was browsing through the 24-hour book store in Taipei. It's very interesting indeed - you should go for the unabridged version.
